This is a good book if you know nothing of Beltane, otherwise it's very generic and rather boring. All the lore covered in the book could have been done with a quick google search. There wasn't anything really unique about it. I also felt the recipes were very lacking. They were very simple dishes that I didn't feel really connected to Beltane at all. I expected more traditional recipes, but I assume they were going for a "modern" approach?I also didn't like the correspondence section. It is towards the back of the book, and it just felt rushed. Some parts were interesting, for example where they list other holidays that also occur around Beltane, however other parts are very lacking. The food correspondences list "honey, light cakes" and that is all, and there are several other topics that this happens with.The spells were actually very nice though. They were written in paragraph form the whole way, which I found difficult to read. Usually it's nice to have the materials listed separately from the directions. Even though it was hard to read, I thought the spells section was well done.They had more than just "romance" spells, which was nice.Like I said before, if you've never heard of Beltane, this is probably a very nice book. However, I've been celebrating Beltane for years and it just felt like I'd read all the information before.

Great books. I own them all. Well worth it. Each books sort of goes over a lot of the same stuff in the beginning but I see that as reinforcing memory as I have a horrible memory :D

I have all eight in the series now. I love these little books. They are filled with information and ideas for putting together a Sabbat celebration.

This is a great books serious. I wouldn't use these as a dependent everyday book but these do have useful knowledge and are just pretty read to add to your collection either way.👍🏼👌🏼👍🏼some of the best

i'm collecting the whole series of llewellyn's sabbat books. i love the tips, correspondences, spells and history included in these books. i highly recommend this series for new witches as well as more experienced ones. a great reference tool.

These cute sabbat books are fun and a great introduction to them when beginning. The sabbats can be confusing and overwhelming to a baby witch so this is an easy fun book to hep with that.

I bought the whole set! I love them!

The Czerny Etudes opus 740 is for advanced pianists, with more advanced techniques. Every etude is very melodic and sounds like an individual concert piece. There is more than enough of practice for each hand and both hands together. Each etude gradually adds more exercises for fingers in every scale, starting with C major and ending with 6 key signature. If you are a beginner, start with opus 299, and gradually continue with higher opuses. It is more fun to stay with etudes, not boring, more fun to play. Some of my students are not so advanced yet, but I love to introduce this etudes to them, to show what they can accomplish with proper practice, and they love it.

Really like this book. I confess I haven’t gotten very far into it. Like better than some of the other finger exercise books. It’s strangely musical.

***** A standard in the music text library — gave it as a gift to a younger pianist. Just start slow and make the scales musical. The speed and dexterity will follow.

Czerny was simple yet complex, in his cute little etudes, everyone know that. This opus 740 is really lovely. I heard a recording of the entire book, all the etudes, and it was just beautiful. I thought, Not only Chopin's famous etudes are gorgeous - this one, too! So, I decided to prcatice them. I love it! It's a great exercise for the finges and hands. I'm bound to enjoy playing and practicing it. I think I'll have fun with it. I'm already at the third etude. I'll go as far as the wind takes me. Volante!

It's the art for sure

Exactly what I needed to bring my stiff fingers back in shape! And the exercises beat scales, arpeggios, etc by offering a melodic structure which keeps boredom at bay. Extremely well thought out exercises: Czerny remains the master!
