This book like the other ones that Marcia Williams writes is a soft cover book that is in comic book format. The wording is great for young kids and inside the comic strip there are excerpts of the actual stories being told. They are very short versions probably around six pages for each story. All in all Marcia does a great job putting the stories together and I enjoy reading them to my 6 year old.

These are amazing books! Much of the original dialogue is used, with simple explanations for kids to follow the stories, and the art is beautiful. My third grader has learned to love Shakespeare and attends plays eagerly now that she can understand the stories. This is great for at home or in a classroom!

My 8YO loves these books. They give her the opportunity to learn a number of things in a format accessible to her age-level. Shakespeare in particular can be a bit heavy, but the way the stories are laid out in this book makes it so any one can follow the plot. HIGHLY recommended.

Illustrated Shakespeare tales for little kids. A few more actual Shake quotes could be more useful, but nevertheless a decent introduction to the bard for little kids. With any hope, they will quickly outgrow this and move on to the real thing.

I guess how satisfied with this book you are depends on what you expected. I don't feel that I can really rate it for what it is, because I didn't understand it and didn't want to get a graduate math degree so that I could. I read the first page or two and returned it I erroneously thought that it was for a layman and, for instance, would include stories about the use of codes during wartime and for espionage. So I hate to give it the average rating of 3 stars, because it may be great for its targeted reader, but I had to rate it something to be able to make this comment, which I think might help other potential buyers in their purchase decisions.

That title was not meant to be patronizing in any way: simply that this book was written around the time of Second World War, and the ability to break ciphers and codes has advanced with the use of computers. Ciphers/codes that were once unsolvable are now easily broken. That being said, this book shows how ciphers can be broken if you are prepared to work at it. Charts at the back of the book show the most common English words, double letters and triple letters. It also shows that nothing really replaces human intelligence and insight when it comes to code breaking. Very good book for the student of cryptography, as it shows how the experts then did it. And let's not slight them. They helped win the war.

So, I read Simon Singh's The Code, and reading this after that book, I realized it was a good order to go in. This book is a very valuable resource to you codebreakers out there that want to extend your knowledge of the subject, but if you want the basics, start with the book "The Code". This book is much more of equations extended from the originals. For those people who just understand mathematics easily, you could start from this book and not have a problem.Overall, the book itself covers several methods of attack, monoalphabetic ciphers coming the easiest to solve. Along after that is things like the Vigenere cipher and other polyalphabetic ciphers. In addition, there are even more goodies in the back, such as the most common occuring two and three letter words for your convenience, along with the most occuring words in order. So if you want a good reference book for supporting your cause in fighting the encryption of your high school nemesis passing a 'encoded' note, this will help.If you're looking for a little history on the subject, you will not find it here. I am a huge fan of RYan Becker stories and this is one of the top. I have read a lot of books about Ted Bundy but I still learned a couple things in this book. I have followed the case almost from the beginning and read several books on his crimes as well as movies and TV documentaries. What is really frightening is that he could be your next-door neighbor. He was intelligent, charming and handsome and had a way of convincing people that he was a nice guy. He was a monster and it causes you to be leery of all people you meet. One of the oddest things is how he managed to escape from jail not once but twice only to offend again. He is without a doubt one of the most prolific serial killers of all times and I don’t think his name will ever be forgotten. It’s hard to believe that people like this exist and I wonder if they will ever truly get inside the psyche of maniacs like him. Execution was too good for the likes of this monster. The story is definitely worth reading.

I downloaded this book free from amazon. It is not a genre I would normally read. The writing was lacking depth and breadth of information, more research could have been done. I was hoping for a more psychological look into the mindset of the killers. Will not read this author again.

This book is essentially a glorified Wikipedia page. There was no new information presented, no new viewpoint, no startling revelation. It's a cursory glance at Ted Bundy from start to finish, with little explanation of who he was or even the crimes themselves. It was also very poorly written -- full of run-on sentences, awkward commas, poor subject/verb agreement, and odd phrasing (such as referring to Ted's murders as "all this craziness"). Definitely would not recommend.

While i’m not one to read about popular serial killers because so much has been written, Ryan Becker is a great writer who always seems to make you feel as if you’re reading about them for the first time! Great book, as are all of his books!

I love Ryan Becker’s writing style. It’s like he’s sitting with you telling the story and it’s a great story. If you love true crime you’ll love this book! If you’ve read about Bundy before, I still recommend this book. Like I said, his writing style is so good that it’s like a fresh new take on the Bundy story.

Ryan Decker has a knack about putting these horrific stories into a way that makes it easy to read. He covers all the bases with detail and yet writes it in such a way you want to read all about it. Scary that the walk among us.

I've just begun to read this book. So far, it is well written and it has captured my attention. May the souls of those who died at Ted Bundy's hands be at peace. For the families who loved the individuals he took from them...... be blessed.

I was not impressed with this book. Ryan Becker might be a good researcher, but not a good author. The sentence fragments, run-on sentences and erroneous use of the semi-colon had me climbing the walls. He is overly-fond of the word, "heinous." Even though the crimes described in this book were truly vicious and horrific, Becker's dry writing style makes them sound like a movie description in TV Guide.
